Horbling Lodge was renamed Carlton Lodge in 1899. The property was on
the market in 1906, sale details show
the villa had a total of 10 bedrooms on the two upper floors. Two of the
bedrooms were approximately 21 feet by 19 feet. Among the rooms on the ground
floor were a drawing-room and dining-room both almost 30 ft long and 19 ft wide.
The basement had a billiard room measuring 28ft by 18ft.
The house stood in grounds of about an acre, which had tennis and croquet
lawns as well as a productive kitchen garden.
The stables were in a detached building with 2 stalls, double coach-house,
with living room and loft over. In 1906 the sale price of Carlton Lodge was £1,500.

11 Lewisham Park along with numbers 68-71 were purchased by the council in
1952 to provide flats, maisonettes and houses. The properties were
described as being destroyed as a result of bomb damage during the second world
war. The building of Plummer Court began in 1955.
